Community Aide Worker (Part-Time)

We are looking for an outgoing, community‑minded person to support our 20‑year‑old son, who has an intellectual disability. This role involves helping him explore his interests in art, music, and sports; attending weekly vocational training; building friendships; and participating in community life. The facilitator will also support him in exploring part‑time employment opportunities. An interest in music and activities like basketball or badminton is an asset.

Key Responsibilities
- Attend weekly vocational training classes when scheduled.
- Find and accompany him to community activities (art, music, recreation, sports)
- Support his inclusion and participation in these settings
- Assist with public transit and provide driving when needed
- Help him explore career interests, build relationships, and develop a network
- Build connections within local art, music, and recreation communities

Ideal Candidate
- Interested in music, art, and being physically active
- Familiar with community resources related to his interests (an asset)
- Able to work flexible weekday hours
- Has current First Aid/CPR and a Police Information Check with vulnerable sector screening
